Coeur d'Alene Snow!

What in the world are we doing standing in the snow without our heavy winter coats?
Brrrrr… Bill’s army khaki jacket is wool, but my white sweater is a cotton blend. Not only are our pants getting wet, but so are our shoes.  Bill has a wool hat on but mine is a summer one.  My fingernails have red polish on them but the polish does not keep my hands from freezing. I think it is time to consider walking up the shoveled sidewalk, and get inside right away and stand in front of our blazing fireplace.
I thank the Lord several times a day for such a kind, loving husband.  He shoveled that walk just for me, and always stops what he is doing and comes out to get me when I arrive home.

Taxidermy Time

Looking at all these stuffed animal heads on the wall in Chingola, Zambia bring to my memory all the expertise of Carl Winter and the lovely painting of a lion that he did for me that is on my wall in my home in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho.  What a blessing it was to know him even though it was for such a short time in Africa. I wish there was a fish head on this wall like the one we have on our wall thanks to Carl Winter as Bill went fishing with Carl, Smiler Allen, Roger Gastineau, Cark Sturkie, Giorgio Cuturi, Dennis Brubacher and John Everitt during the time we lived in Zambia.

Wednesday, March 21, 2012

Today is Wednesday which is always a good day for me.  Why?  It is because I go to the Spa for 90 minutes and what a workout.  I walk out not only refreshed but zealous for my next challenge of the day.  I looked over my cruise schedule, and prayed for every city, country days at sea, and all the numerous activities on the Holland America ship.  I feel blessed to think that I am actually going on a cruise for the first time and going with my friend, JoAnn Cremata, a friend of many years.  When I first met JoAnn we were double dating.  What fun as I look back at those fun times with my friend from the Southern Baptist Church in Hollywood, Florida.
The above photo is when I taught at Kentridge High School in Kent, WA when I had a motorcycle club.  Those were fun days.  You had to be present daily for my class to be able to join me the following Saturday for a time of fun on our motorcycles.

I am on the Holland America cruise ship with my life time friend, JoAnn Cremata, from Hollywood, Florida.  Pray that HE will allow me the opportunity to tell them about Jesus.  Those of you who know me everywhere I go is a mission trip.
